All work published in the Journal for the Study of Religion (JSR) is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). As an open access journal, all content is freely available to users and their institutions without charge.

Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, and to use them for any other lawful purpose, without needing prior permission from the publisher or author. This journal is fully open access in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

Authors and users are reminded to duly reference any work or content they cite from the journal.
