Campus media – ranging from student newspapers and radio stations to online platforms – have long served as vital training grounds for future journalists and communication professionals. In addition to enhancing student learning, they also contribute to campus culture and public discourse. However, African campus media face unique governance, sustainability, and pedagogical challenges that remain under-researched.
This special issue aims to highlight African perspectives and practices in campus media management, production, and innovation, and invites contributions from researchers, practitioners, and educators engaged in or working with student media across the continent.
