Authors who publish in the Journal of Construction Project Management and Innovation agree to the following terms:

1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work and allow others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.

2. Submission of a manuscript to JCPMI implies that the work described has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or thesis); that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; and that if and when the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author(s) still hold the copyright and retain publishing rights without restrictions.

3. Authors or others are allowed to multiply the article as long as it is not for commercial purposes. Any use or copies of this journal, in whole or in part, must include the customary bibliographic citation, including author attribution, date, and article title.

Therefore, authors' rights with the JCPMI shall include the following:

  • Joint ownership of publication with JCPMI
  • Right of patency and trademark
  • Use of previous / published research data
  • Reuse of excerpts and own figures in other research output
  • Utilization of the JCPMI published article for classroom teaching
  • Presentation of the JCPMI published manuscripts to conference participants
  • Distribution and sharing of the JCPMI published article to colleagues and students for their personal use, publicly or privately.
  • Public sharing of JCPMI accepted papers on commercial sites.
  • Inclusion of JCPMI published manuscript in an application for grants or funding.
