Higher Education Compass (HEC) welcomes submissions for special issues that seek to produce and showcase scholarship that falls within its aims and scope. HEC publisher no more than one special issue annually. Applications for special should include the following: 

1. A brief motivation (no more than 800 words) outlining the contribution the proposed special issue intends to make to the literature. 

2. A series of abstracts providing an overview of the papers to be included in the special issue.  Should the abstracts not be available yet, please make sure to include a draft of the call for papers. 

3. The name(s), email address(es), and institutional affiliations of the guest editor(s).
