Sauti is a Swahili word that means "voice." The Swahili proverb Kwenye mauti hakuna sauti — the place of death has no voice — captures the urgency of speaking while we can. This journal seeks to amplify that voice and to enhance and envisage living beyond crisis-prone political and economic systems.
